TalentHouse is a creative community that connects brands and agencies. They publish creative briefings and they choose one selected creator and 4 finalist.
In June 2020, they wanted to create an artwork for Niall Horan. He wanted to bring to life one of the songs from his new album, Heartbreak Weather.
I decided to participate and these were my submissions.

1. Dear Patience - finalist
Dear Patience is a song about introspection. These lyrics feel like a conversation with myself and all those things that I need to remind. I wanted to show an inside world, an inner reflection. As well as the lyrics “me and the stars can get lonely”, one thing that helps me to connect with myself and meditate, is staring at the sky and the stars. Blue is the color of the stability, trust and has calming effect. It suits perfectly with the patience concept and it relays peace.
2. Still - Finalist
Still reminds me of a breakup, when two people part ways and start their own lifes. Sometimes you think that you could have done better. It makes me feel melancholy and I wanted to capture it with two hands that come from different worlds, but they still feel together.
3. Heartbreak Weather
Heartbreak weather makes me feel like the beginning of a new relationship. I wanted to capture that “feeling in the clouds”. The bed represents the intimacy and it was inspired by the hotel room from the lyrics. I wanted to use a delicate and pale color palette for this one: Pink means love and all the dreams and plans for the future that you two plan together. Blue means trust and calm, something very important at the beginning of a new relationship.
4. Small Talk
Small Talk is a passionate song. The rithym puts me in a sensual and flirting mood. I wanted to capture an intimate and wild moment. That’s why I highlighted the shape of a woman body in the dark with some feathers flying around. The scheme color chosen is black (lack of light/intimacy), and purple standing for the fantasy and magic of the moment.
5. Bend the rules
Everyone has experimented a relationship where one loves and another person is loved. Bend the rules reminds me about an untruthful relationship, when one of them is leaving out the truth. A person who lies, in my eyes, is a person with too many faces. I wanted to use the lyrics of the song with handwritting type because its the letter that I would write to someone that would hurt me, as something personal. Since it’s an unpleasant situation I used cold colors with a touch of red representing the guilt.
6. Cross your mind
Everyone has ever been in a toxic relationship, and even after the breakup, you are still in love. These lyrics inspired me to create a cracked person’s bust. Though the person is in pieces, he goes along with the pain because he is still in love. The cracks symbolize the wounds, so the flowers Bloom from the cracks (“but I swear it’s worth it every time”) “I am blooming from the wound where I once bleed”. No rain, no flowers.
